NEW YORK, NY / ACCESSWIRE / May 18, 2020 / Mike Majlak documented his life story in an exciting debut book, 'The Fifth Vital', which recounts his journey as an addict and the horrors that he experienced before he clawed his way back to the light.
In 2018, more than 67,300 Americans died from drug overdose, including illegal narcotics and prescription opioids. Drug addiction is an illness that affects not just users but the people in their lives. Despite these horrifying statistics, there are individuals who miraculously find their way out of the nightmare of drug addiction and somehow change their lives for the better.
Mike Majlak is one of these people. He became an addict at just seventeen years of age and was soon headed down a path that almost ended his life. While Mike's friends were off graduating and embarking on lives of purpose, Mike was stuck behind, battling addiction and darkness. His drug use led to a life of crime on the streets where he was nearly gunned down numerous times-an environment so bleak that it was unlikely he'd ever get out.
Somehow, he did. Since getting clean and changing his life, Mike has become the face of hope for those facing lives of uncertainty, pain, or addiction. His message has exploded around the globe with its focus on positive change and compassion.
