SAIC Motor vehicle sales up 42 pct in Jan.-April

SHANGHAI, May 11 (Xinhua) -- Major Chinese automaker SAIC Motor Corporation Limited announced on Tuesday that its motor vehicle sales went up 42.44 percent year on year to more than 1.56 million units during the January-April period of 2021.
In a filing with the Shanghai Stock Exchange, SAIC Motor, partners of General Motors and Volkswagen, also said it sold 419,519 motor vehicles in April, slightly up from 417,560 units in the same month a year ago.
