The Los Angeles Rams elevated kicker Harrison Mevis to the active roster for the second consecutive week, and he will be active against the visiting Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.
Mevis, who was signed to the Rams' practice squad earlier this month, made all six of his extra-point attempts in Sunday's 42-26 victory over the San Francisco 49ers. He did not have a field-goal attempt.
The Rams (7-2) will be facing the Seahawks (7-2) in a battle for first place in the NFC West. Both teams are tied with the Philadelphia Eagles for best record in the NFC.
The Rams have made it a priority to revamp their kicking game after Joshua Karty missed five of his 15 field-goal attempts and three of his 26 extra-point attempts over the first eight games.
Mevis, 23, was an All-America at Missouri and has spent time with the Carolina Panthers and New York Jets but did not appear in an NFL game until Sunday. In the UFL last season, Mevis was 20 of 21 on field-goal attempts for the Birmingham Stallions.
The Rams also signed long snapper Jake McQuaide to the 53-man roster Monday after he also was elevated from the practice squad for Sunday's game against the 49ers.
McQuaide, 37, was the Rams' long snapper for 10 seasons from 2011-20. He also spent time with the Dallas Cowboys, Detroit Lions, Minnesota Vikings and Miami Dolphins and has appeared in 198 career games.
