Zach Hyman had two goals and an assist and Connor Ingram earned a 27-save shutout to lead the Edmonton Oilers past the visiting St. Louis Blues 5-0 on Sunday night.
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins scored a goal in his 1,000th career NHL game for the Oilers, who have gone 5-1-2 in their last eight games.
Vasily Podkolzin scored a goal and earned an assist for Edmonton. Andrew Mangiapane also scored and Connor McDavid and Mattias Ekholm each had two assists.
Jordan Binnington made 23 saves for the Blues, who lost forward Oskar Sundqvist to a leg injury in the third period.
Lightning 4, Stars 1
Dominic James and Jake Guentzel had a goal and an assist apiece, and visiting Tampa Bay stretched its point streak to 13 games with a win over Dallas.
Brandon Hagel netted the go-ahead goal in the second period, with Nikita Kucherov reaching the 70-point mark with an assist. Pontus Holmberg scored an empty-netter. Goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy stopped 19 shots as the Lightning moved to 18-4-4 on the road.
Oskar Back notched the game's first marker, and goalie Jake Oettinger made 22 saves for the Stars. Forward Mikko Rantanen skated in his 700th NHL game, but Dallas fell to 2-6-4 in the past dozen games.
Red Wings 4, Senators 3 (OT)
Alex DeBrincat scored in overtime to give host Detroit a wild victory over Ottawa.
Axel Sandin-Pellikka, Lucas Raymond and James van Riemsdyk also scored for the Red Wings, who have won six of seven games. Andrew Copp collected two assists and John Gibson made 19 saves to earn his sixth consecutive victory.
Drake Batherson collected one goal and one assist for the Senators, who blew an early two-goal lead one day after watching a late two-goal edge disappear in a 6-5 overtime loss to the Montreal Canadiens. Dylan Cozens and Shane Pinto also scored for Ottawa, which has only two wins in eight games but points in four consecutive outings (2-0-2).
