The lead was still 12 with less than three minutes left in the half. Philadelphia reeled off eight straight points to pull within four before the Pistons ended the half with a 5-0 spurt, capped by a Paul Reed layup. That gave Detroit a 69-60 lead, with Harris and Robinson finishing the half with 11 points apiece.
The Pistons opened the second half with a 9-3 spurt, capped by a Robinson layup. A Harris layup midway through the quarter made it 90-69. The lead was 104-81 when the quarter ended.
